Thoughts Are Things

By: Michael Adler

On numerous occasions, our dear friend, dowsing teacher and mentor Raymon Grace has emphasized and reminded us that thoughts are things and we’re best advised to remain aware of our thoughts, as well as the words we use in conversation. Furthermore, our thoughts and words can have a significant influence on the quality and degree of love and joy, good health and happiness, peace and prosperity, abundance and gratitude, acceptance and success, in addition to other notable aspects we experience in our lives. Conscious of this, I’ve realized that one of the most beneficial things I can do is to understand and accept the power of my thoughts and the impactful influence of my beliefs.

Indeed, it’s important to recognize just how strong the mind is and how powerful our beliefs and our thoughts actually are. As you’ve probably witnessed, many people underestimate their innate capacity to actually create and shape the life changes which they truly desire. Moreover, I’ve realized that I actually possess far more power and potential than I ever imagined possible, by focusing my mental ability to creatively manifest, or shape my desired reality and life and achieve the best probable outcome.

Thoughts and beliefs constitute consciousness and will dictate how our consciousness can manifest or play out in our lives. In other words, what we think and believe can have a significant influence on the overall quality of our daily lives. Thankfully, with effort, mindfulness, willingness and focused one-pointed intention, we can learn to master our thoughts and emotions and depending on one’s personal preferences, interests and strengths, there are many effective ways to achieve this.

Today, in 2025, at this powerful ever-changing time in human evolution, prayer, contemplation and/or meditation are just three of many beneficial ways to help one understand their true identity, and recognize that they are much more than just the mind and body. Clearly, it’s beneficial for one to maintain a higher awareness, and our line of thinking is very important because our thoughts will have a direct impact on the reality we live and manifest.

With focused intent, we can strive to prevent negative thoughts from entering and controlling our minds. It’s far better to fill our mental space with positive, enjoyable thoughts regarding the people, places, things, activities and the choices that we appreciate. We can also observe that our thoughts and beliefs will present themselves in our physical environment in a very significant way. Hence, we are well-advised to do whatever it takes to stop the negative thoughts, without causing any problematic physical impact to the body.

For folks who do not have a strong meditation or prayer practice, an easy way is to simply be in nature. Sitting quietly in a peaceful setting, taking a tranquil walk on the beach or in a park, or enjoying an invigorating hike in the woods are excellent ways of enjoying the natural beauty of nature. In addition, by sitting barefoot on the ground, or earthing, we are able to connect to the natural energy of the planet and receive positive beneficial energy from the earth. Best of all, we can also transfer any negative thoughts and emotions to the earth by visualizing our thoughts leaving and being absorbed by the earth, or seeping out through the bottoms of our feet into the ground below.
